Overview

Vitamin B3, also known as niacinamide, is a factor in the maintenance of good health. This water-soluble vitamin helps the body to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Each of Westcoast Naturals® Niacinamide Vitamin B3 Capsules contains 500 mg of niacinamide to help promote normal growth and development.

Health Canada recommends that adult males (19 years and older) have an intake of 16 mg per day, while adult females (19 years and older) are recommended to have an intake of 14 mg per day.

Not sure if your body has enough niacinamide? Your body makes niacinamide from the niacin you obtain from your diet. High amounts of niacin are found in the following foods: Liver (75 g) provides 10-17 niacin equivalents (NE), canned anchovies (75 g) provides 19 NE and pumpkin seeds (1/4  cup) provide 8 NE.1 Health supplements play a critical role when foods such as these are not often incorporated into the daily menu.

Niacinamide helps over 200 enzymes function properly in the body by assisting with the use of other B vitamins.2 Ensure adequate intake of this important vitamin with Westcoast Naturals® Niacinamide Vitamin B3 Capsules.
